One day, a stranger asked if anyone could help teach her how to love her wardrobe again. After years of taking care of everyone else, she was ready to learn how to feel confident in her clothes, but she had no idea where to start. So, I gave her a gift. I went to her house and over coffee, we talked about her life, her goals and how she wanted her outside to reflect how she felt on the inside. We spent hours in her closet and it ended with numerous outfits, clothes that flattered (but didn’t conceal) her shape, a personalized action plan and even more important, a friendship.
So for me, what started as a simple gift, ended with a passion to teach people that what they wear can change the way they think and feel about themselves. Don’t let those “someday clothes” limit your happiness in your own wardrobe. I want everyone to feel beautiful and confident when they look at themselves in the mirror. I want them to walk out the door and have that confidence effect and spread to those around them.
